I found the inspiration for this painting in May 2024 when I visited an old school friend in Salzburg, Austria. We hiked that day in changeable weather and came to Lake Bluntau, which was surprisingly green/blue, even though the clouds were gray. This amazed me and made a lasting impression. The crystal-clear water of this Alpine lake allowed me to see fish even from far away. So I took a photo with my phone, which I used as a reference for this painting. With this painting, I attempted to capture the natural beauty of this area in an impressionistic way.
